Happy Birthday NASA – thank you Rapid TV News brought this to our attention that July 29th was the 50th Anniversary the NASA space agency established in 1958.

Despite the controversy around budget allocation to NASA, space exploration has captured the imagination of so many people around the world. NASA’s activities effect on our daily lives is enormous; satellite communications including radio and television, telemedicine, point-to-point GPS navigation, weather and climate monitoring, and space-based national security assets.   We probably don’t even think about all the things common place in our life today (like Tang!) because of the exploration and science direct from NASA.

Happy Birthday NASA. And thanks for the Tang!
