We live in a hectic world and sometimes it’s impossible to keep our lives organized and running smoothly. From work to shopping to school to social plans – how does a person stay sane? Fortunately, sites are popping up all over the web that are designed to keep us on track. Mashable ran a great story that covers them all.
We can find organizational assistance for just about any aspect of life, some sites dedicated to many facets, others focusing directly on a single one. Whether you need help organizing a vacation, managing your children’s many activities, keeping track of grocery shopping, cataloguing your household inventory, planning a trendy party or simply need reminders and to do lists there is the perfect site for you out there. Still a lot of options make it hard to choose — so lucky for you - most of these sites have video demos or free trials that let you pick your favs. Here are few Tattletech thinks get the job done.
- Evernote – a page that could potentially be the forgetful persons best friend. Calling itself and “external brain” Evernote allows you to copy anything and everything into an organized system from images to flight information to cool Websites you want to return to. You can find anything in your Evernote by simply typing in a keyword and it locates it for you. It can even search for keywords in photos and other images! Can’t seem to remember your favorite brand of ice cream? Just have a photo of it in your Evernote, add a caption if you want and anytime you have a craving just type in a keyword such as “ice cream” or “favorite” and if the word is in the image or caption Evernote will find it. It will help you find and remember any information on your phone and computer. We could use this.
-Tripcart – an online vacation/road trip planner. Choose a destination and Tripcart helps you plan activities, find lodging, spas and anything else a traveler could want. Don’t know where you want to go at all? Tripcart can help you decide by the type of things you want to do, whether your going with a group of guys or a big family or whether you want snow or sand. You can look at other people’s trip itineraries and read their reviews to help you make more decisions. Set up a time frame and add activities as you see fit and by the end you will have the perfectly custom-made vacation!
But if you need more than just a reminder or a quick travel itinerary or are losing your mind remembering things, Chandler is for you. Chandler is a “plan everything” site. It includes a calendar, event planning feature, reminders, notes and task lists that function in three categories of “now,” “later” and “done” among many other things. It also has a search function and the ability to share your schedule and tasks with others. So plan a lunch, invite friends, make a shopping list, share it with your current love interest, keep track of your kids’ after school activities and coordinate them with your own prioritized task list all with one Website, sort of like a ‘one ring to bind them all’ approach. –JLH
