ETRE begins today

Today in Stockholm, ETRE 08 begins. This year it will be interesting to see those that are blazing forward in the current market climate and those that choose to play it safe. Judging from the lobby last night, it looks like the trail blazers are out in force. Already, Tattletech had a chat with Kimia, the start up mobile internet provider from Madrid about the launch of their new product, KUBES. We also got a demo sent straight to our phones which reminded us how powerful the mobile internet can be when harnessed and Kimia figured it out. Not only are they open source, but they can mobilize anything – including Tattletech! The bottom line is that Kimia’s KUBES let you go and fetch up your Web content and then share them with your pals – but without installing software, which makes it so easy. They are courting some very big operators who love the open source nature of it all and they recently mobilized Wikipedia. Cool, cause everyone needs Wikipedia at all times. We can’t live without it.

Up on the agenda today is a keynot session we won’t miss  – Tim Draper, Travis Katz (mySpace/Fox Interactive Media) and Rob Glaser, RealNetworks – mostly we just hope that Tim breaks into a song and a dance, but the serious side of us wants to hear what these folks have to say about the future of content, media and video.

More to come, plus that top 10 hot men of Venture and ETRE.
